How far is the hotel from the airport? How do I get there?

• 7.5 miles from Miami International Airport (MIA). Due to proximity to the hotel this is the preferred airport.
  Driving Directions:
  1. Take 836 East to I-95 South to Biscayne Boulevard (Exit 2A).
  2. Take the ramp down through two red lights.
  3. Turn left at the stop sign (get in the far right lane).
  4. Turn right at first red light (one half-block).
  5. The InterContinental Miami is on your right.

What transportation system is available from the airport to the hotel and back?  

There are no COMPLIMENTARY Shuttle Buses offered by the hotel.

Miami shuttles are available at the airport at approximately $14 per passenger.

Taxi service:
(a) Flat rate: is about $24 per trip, 1-4 passengers, includes origination fee and highway tolls
(b) Metered fare: $4.50 for the first 1/6 mile, (includes the $2.00 airport origination fee) and $.40 each additional 1/6 mile which equals to $6.90 for the first mile and $2.40 for each additional mile. Waiting time is $.40 per minute.

Fort Lauderdale is more expensive for the obvious reason of distance from the airport to the hotel. There are a number of rental cars within the airport if you should decide to drive on your own.

How much is the hotel parking fee?  

Parking is on-site. $10 for day use and $18 for overnight parking. This is a discounted price from the regular $34. Mention CFC conference.

What are the Check-In and Check-Out times?  

Check-In is 4 PM and Check-Out is 1 PM. Hotel bell services offer to store luggage before check-in and after check-out, if needed. Rooms may not be ready at once for guests arriving early but all efforts will be made to accommodate them.

What happens if we don’t arrive on the scheduled arrival date?  

Rooms not occupied after midnight of the guest’s scheduled arrival date will be forfeited and released back to the hotel for further booking. Registrants will still be held responsible for payment and booking another room will be on availability basis. If for any reason you can not make your reservation on time, please advise the hotel in advance to avoid penalties.

How much is the cost per night of stay?  

Mention Couples For Christ when making your reservations to avail of the discounted group rate of $119.00 per night. This price is good 3 nights pre and post the conference dates depending on room availability. This would be an advantage if you’re planning on extending your stay but always check with the hotel first.

IMPORTANT: Deadline for this rate is July 11. We have to fill the block of rooms allocated for the conference on or before this date otherwise the discounted group rate will revert to regular price after this period.

What kind of weather are we expecting during that time?  

Miami has a true tropical climate with hot, humid summers, and warm, dry winters. Most of the year is warm and humid, and the summers are almost identical to the climate of the Caribbean tropics. A typical summer day does not have temperatures below 75 °F (24 °C). Temperatures in the high 80s to low 90s (30-35 °C) accompanied by high humidity ranging from 63% - 83% RH.
